Ca Mau: the southern tip, with Bac Lieu
The new Ca Mau joins the old Ca Mau and Bac Lieu provinces at the southern end of the delta. It has the clearest set of official websites in the region, including separate sites for the Mui Ca Mau tourist area and the national park. This page lists them and what each is good for.

The new province in one paragraph
Resolution 202/2025/QH15 merged Bac Lieu into Ca Mau, giving a province of 7,942.39 km² and 2,606,672 people — the least populous of the delta's new units. Bac Lieu is now a ward name. The Can Tho–Ca Mau expressway opened end to end on 19 January 2026, which has shortened the drive from Can Tho; Mekong ASEAN reported 8.1 million visitors to Ca Mau in 2025.

Mui Ca Mau: tourist area and national park
Two separate bodies manage the southern tip. The tourist area board runs the visitor site at the cape in Dat Mui commune, and its website lists the sights and the forest routes it sells. The national park covers the mangroves and coastal waters around it and is a Ramsar site; VietnamPlus dates its Ramsar listing to 2012, while other references give 2013, so we do not quote a year.
The national park also forms part of the Mui Ca Mau biosphere reserve recognised by UNESCO. We could not open a UNESCO page for it on the check date.

U Minh Ha
U Minh Ha National Park protects peat-swamp melaleuca forest north of Ca Mau town. We searched for an official website on 12 October 2026 and found none that loaded. Visits are usually arranged through local operators or the companies on the tour companies page; ask them whether the forest is open, since parks in this area can close to visitors in the dry season when fire risk is high.
What the Mui Ca Mau website carries
The tourist-area site is the most practical official page for the cape. Its menus cover the sights inside the tourist area, the forest routes it runs through the mangroves, an electric-cart service, local products and a news section. Recent notices on the check date included a weekly flag-raising and flag-lowering ceremony at the Hanoi flagpole on the cape, a 2026 national programme held there, and the area's recognition as a green-tourism site of the Mekong Delta for 2026.
Prices and departure times for the boats and carts were not shown in a form we could check. Use the site's contact page or ask at the gate, and treat any fare quoted by a third party as a rough guide only.

Events in Ca Mau
The second Ca Mau Crab Festival was held in November 2025, according to Dai bieu Nhan dan. The department site posts cultural events across the merged province, including performances at the Cao Van Lau theatre in Bac Lieu ward. Check the department's news list for dates; we list confirmed events on the festivals page.

When these links will not help
The official sites say little about practical access: boat departures to the cape, prices and opening hours are not posted in a form we could verify. The national park site blocks automated reading, so we checked only that it loaded.
We could not confirm which flights serve Ca Mau in 2026. Do not plan around a route you saw in an old article; check the airline websites on the transport operators page instead.
